Combine Transporting Entire Bridge Runs Out of Gas
PERU, IL – An embarrassing situation unfolded today when a John Deere combine transporting an entire bridge ran out of gas in Peru. Citizens of Peru had to drive around the scene delaying their travel by approximately 0 minutes. This incident brings into question the act of using farm equipment for construction purposes.
Last year The Cob reported that the State of Illinois has turned to farmers to lift and haul enormous structures while the Illinois government battles it out over the budget.
“Usually I check the fuel before hauling large structures like bridges, jumbo jets or buildings. Today I just forgot and started hauling the bridge.” The driver stated.
The drama was short lived as the combine was fueled up and moved on to deliver the bridge.
“At first I thought why are they putting a bridge there and then I realized he just ran out of gas.” Said a local resident.
As for the farmers next job, on Monday he’ll be hauling a train engine to Idaho.
