Local Man Discovers He’s Still Paying For Newspaper & Cable
STREATOR, IL – While most people have long ditched newspaper and cable tv subscriptions, there remain a few devoted individuals who either like to hold on to the past or are blissfully unaware of their expenses. Frank Whitton of Streator is part of the latter.
Early last week, Frank opened his mail only to discover bills for newspaper and tv service he thought he had stopped paying for years ago.
“I knew I was getting the newspaper and the tv. I just figured it was free. How did I miss that bill all these years?” Frank told The Cob.
“I was really in shock. I went back through my bank statements and sure enough, there were the charges.” Frank continued.
“To be honest, I really just thought they were free now, because who pays for that anymore?” Frank concluded.
As of Tuesday morning Frank reported that the services were all canceled and his Netflix subscription was a valid expense on his bill.
