Pickup Basketball Player Goes 0 For 50 Behind The Arc – Calls Himself “The Stunner”
PERU, IL – With a total lack of sportsmanship and regard for his own teammates, Antonio Bronnin of Peru, went zero for fifty from the three-point arc last Thursday at the local YMCA during a pickup game of basketball.
Locally the record for consecutive bricks and airballs was 39 set way back in 1976. Antonio was given the nod from Guinness Records Friday after they confirmed he had broken a country wide record as well.
“He calls himself The Stunner and we are all stunned that someone could miss so bad in one night.” Antonio’s close friend Greg told The Cob.
“After most misses, he would just say he was trying for an alley-oop. Nobody believed him. Nobody was even near the basket!” Greg continued.
“He wonders why he is the last person picked too. When you pass it to him under the basket, he runs out to the three point line and yells “HOOK SHOT!” then misses.” Antonio’s teammate concluded.
As for Antonio, he couldn’t be more excited. “I’ve always wanted a trophy. Haters gonna hate, but who has the record baby? Me.”
