Webster Adds “Hillaried” To Dictionary Just In Time To Describe Falcon’s Super Bowl Loss
HOUSTON, TX – With yesterday’s Super Bowl in the books, many people found themselves at an impasse for words when trying to explain what happened to the Atlanta Falcons late in Sunday night’s game. Lucky for NFL fans, Webster’s Dictionary added a new word just in time, “Hillaried”.
According to Webster’s dictionary, “Hillaried” means to lead for a large portion of a contest only to lose in humiliating unprecedented defeat and shame.
“We were not sure if this word should be included in this year’s dictionary.” Stated a representative from Webster’s Dictionary Company early Monday morning.
“After extensive searching we found that the English language just does not have a word to describe such an unlikely loss.” The Rep continued.
“Look for “Hillaried” to be included in Webster’s 2017 version.” The representative concluded.
As the popularity of the word begins to spread, look for other languages to follow (pants)suit and create their own word.
