White Sox To Rename Park “Big Bob’s Tire Fire Park” After Naming Rights Elapse
CHICAGO, IL – After one year as Guaranteed Rate Field the White Sox announced Tuesday that the naming rights of the field have changed to Big Bob’s Tire Fire Park.
“After some negative press, we decided to take our naming rights to another bidder.” A White Sox spokesman told The Cob.
“Our budget has been limited by declining ticket sales and low attendance, so we took what offer we could.” He continued.
As White Sox fans brace for a few years of rebuild before extended growth, most seem unaware of the current change.
“You can call it whatever the hell you want.” A fan was heard saying on the Southside.
“We ain’t winning anything soon anyway.” He said as he walked away.
Look for the logo to be revealed later in the week, rumor is that it is a tire on fire.
