Ottawa Man Gives $5 Out Of $100 He Collected To Harvey Victims
Ottawa, IL – Good deeds abound in the Illinois Valley and Brad Johnson of Ottawa knew he needed to help the victims of Hurrican Harvey, collecting over $100 in donations, minus an overhead of $95.
“I was concerned about the people of Texas and I just had to do something to help.” Brad told The Cob Wednesday afternoon.
“It was hard work to collect money, but it was worth it, in the end, to be able to donate $5 to the victims of this tragedy.” Brad continued.
“Well, I had to drive, eat and you know general labor costs and such made it a 95% expense collected. I can’t go broke doing this stuff either.”
As more storms collect in the Atlantic, Brad told The Cob that he is ready to do his part to collect more money for those affected.
