Riverfest Cancelled: 25-Year-Old Irrelevant Band Loses Only Gig They Had Left
OTTAWA, IL – The one time mecca for old one-hit-wonder bands has seen it’s last days as Ottawa Riverfest is no more, and these defunct, subpar bands are showing their disappointment in a big way.
One such band to make a stink is Riot Ruins a little known 80’s band from various towns in Northern Illinois.
“We had one show a year and that was Riverfest, now we have nothing.” Lead singer Axil Roar told The Cob.
“Several drunk people would at least dance for our band, I loved it.”
“Now we just have to play for our parents and their like 80 years old. They can barely hear us. Hopefully we can find another gig soon, but who knows.” Mr. Roar concluded.
